in general we react to experience in one of 3 ways:
-w spacing out, bordom..... so that switch from present moment and go somewhere else "in our heads" ... in an effort
to get "out of the pain inside"
-w wanting to hold onto things..... not letting go of experiences- ongoing ones or ones we wish we had
- w wanting it to go away, being angry w it or with ourselves 9can also be avioding future experiences
